The Genealogy Data Base:
Software: The 30,000 name database was created in Family Tree Maker 2005, converted to The Master Genealogist, and converted to a web site using The Next Generation.
The site is hosted by 1&1.
Leehans of Cussewago: This site is the product of many researchers. The tone was set by my father, Edmon “Pat” Leehan who authored the original “History of the Leehan Family” and his journal from his Ireland pilgrimage. Other input comes from stories told by my relatives and those of the other included families. Other genealogists contributed, knowingly or through their internet publications, huge amounts of data... I have done my best to credit sources, but appologize for any oversites.
Le(e)han(e)s: This site contains information, primarily from public sources, on individuals carrying some version of the Le(e)han(e) surname and their spouses and their immediate relatives. Individuals identified in one source are matched with listings in other sources using logic and input from descendants where available.
NW Pa Families: The nucleus of this database is the 1800-1930 census data for the covered Erie County Townships. Family relationships have been inferred from the census or other data where available. Where it is reasonably certain that the same individual appears in more than one census year, the records have been consolidated. Census data has been supplemented with infomation from published genealogies, newspaper articles, property records, yearbooks, and personal knowledge when possible.
Organization: We hope to make the material in this site accessable in several ways:
by Family or Individual
by Type of material (genealocal reports, charts; albums & images , videos, books)
by Historical person, group, place, or institution
by Document sources
Families: The principle families documented in the Leehans and Others database are those whose descendents intermarreid with the descendents of Daniel a n d Katherine (Sullivan) Le(e)han(e):
